He was all 405 years old when he died.

He was born in when Ming dynasty was ruling China, that's why he was named 'Ming'. His age was 405 years at the time of death, and claimed to be longest living animal so far known to recorded history.

It's a clam shell of North Atlantic coast of Iceland analyzed by the welsh scientists. Scientists are able to determine the age of a clam by counting the growth rings in its shell, much like the rings of a tree, Chris Richardson of the Bangor University School of Ocean Sciences told the Times of London. This species of clam typically lives for 200 years, according to the scientist.

Snake and the Frog

This is what I clicked during the visit to my native place in Ratnagiri for Ganapati festival this month. The frog and snake seems to be cohabiting peacefully in this well, although they are known as natural enemies. The situation explains it as the frog is over sized to be a pray for the snake.

They both seem to feed on small fishes in the well, and keep a healthy relation by not crossing over each others domain.
